Sofea & Hafiz

An intimate engagement session of Sofea and Hafiz, held at Sofea’s grandmother’s traditional house which has a mixture of Minangkabau (grandfather) and Chinese (grandmother) elements all around it. Everything was DIY-ed by Sofea herself, from the decoration to the song choices for that day. When I walked into the room, I had to take a long breather because I know it would be a challenge for me because it was really dark inside the house and a bit out of my comfort zone. And I also want to capture those to not run from the essence of the house because that was really important for her. I love how contrasting and bold the colors around the house especially the blue railing on the upper floor.
