Sofea & Daniel
Felt like it was only few months ago that I was shooting their engagement but it’s actually been more than a year ago! Time flies but nothing seems to have changed between these two. They’re still the same overly-extroverted-girl-and-extremely-shy-guy couple only now they’re husband and wife. Being around Sofea especially being my first wedding back after my long break, was exactly the boost of energy that I needed. She never ran out of things to talk about, even had to be told by @cukiajis to stop talking for awhile to put lipstick on 😅 And having her girls around just making sure things were going a-okay, they’re quite a bunch but so fun to be around with, the best hype girls!
Even tho Sofea works and reside in America but she’s so grounded and so connected with all of her family and friends. She was saying about how her sister cried because they wont be sleeping together anymore when she comes back. And she said, with full confidence, that she wont cry during the nikah because she’s had the pre-cry session already but nope, the emotions were running high. She couldn’t help it when her mum hugged her after the akad.
Ok let’s jump straight to the highlight of the event. It’s my first time seeing this game being played. Basically they’re ribbons tied to a bouquet and each person would have to hold on to one while they go around the newly wed. Once the music stopped, Sofea would cut one ribbon and so on until there’s only one left. The last person with the ribbon intact was supposed to get married in 365 days (almost like the tossing bouquet only that the bouquet is in good shape).
Anyway, Sofea and Daniel, you guys are the cutest. So happy to being able to document another monumental event of your lives and to witness the love between you two. Maybe I’ll see you guys next in the States?
