“To be loved and love at the highest count”. One of my fav Adele’s song. I played this song over and over again while editing this gallery because that’s exactly how I felt about not just these 2 but their whole family and friends. How their loves reciprocating and creating this individuals full of love and very much expressive at that.

I love how the sisters making sure their mother looked beautiful and confident for the walk in (even changed the hijab style did by the hijab stylist they hired for her, just because she didn’t feel confident in it). And how Adlin’s best friend sticked around her, making sure she had everything she needed, hold her hand while she’s getting ready, put on bandages on her rarely-wear-feet-but-want-to-wear-Choos-for-the-wedding nonetheless. Adlin, if you must know, was so unserious the whole getting ready session. She kept on saying “betul ke aku nak kawin ni?”. Love how she peeked at the window of her soon-to-be-husband and his crews while waiting for the event to start.

The weather that day was perfect, with splash of sunshine right when the re-entry of Suhayl after his solat sunat, as if to balance out the tears about to be shed for the remaining of the evening. The overjoyed Adlin we’ve seen before turned into a tangled ball of emotions. She cried so much while hugging all of her loved ones.

You must’ve known at this point that I love any kind of speeches at weddings and all of us got free tickets to a long ride of rollercoaster of emotions that night. Listening how Adlin’s siblings described their relationship with their kak long and how much they love each other and tears of joy for her to finally married her better half, and the proud look on her parents for raising their kids right, especially when they mentioned how much they priotize education for the kids growing up.

And when its Adlin’s turn to say a few words. Wow. I was not prepared for the emotional dip. She thanked her atuk and nenek for raising her, for giving her a kampung childhood. I love how she did a shoutout to them and they both replied with the same hands in the air stance. Cutest! I also remember she said that she’s grateful for the childhood her parents gave her, altho it was not perfect and only as adult she realized that and we must forgive them for their shortcomings because they’ve tried their best. I resonate so much to that cs I also recently realized that. Love how Suhayl kept holding her hand throughout it all and when it got to hard for her to speak, he brought her in his arm.
