Wendy & Fizwan

The Wedding of Wendy & Fizwan

23 Sept 2023

Port Dickson, Negeri Sembilan

During each weddings, I would think of one (or few things) that made it different from the other weddings I’ve been to. Took me long enough to realized the simplicity of this event was the essence of it, yet its nothing short of the beautifully designed details and thoughtfully curated menu and doorgift for the guests. They gave Victoria Secrets products for the womens’ guests ok. Abg Nas had to explain to the grandmas that those are skincare, like the good old rose water and they initially thought he’s tauke skincare 😅

I used to dream to serve pasta at my wedding because I love them so much but obviously it didn’t happen, but they did! Oh my, the way I devoured them, for a few rounds too. And the seafood platter! Soooo good. Sounded like all I did was eat at this event, only because this was the chillest event I’d shot in a while, almost like MCO-styled. The only highlight was the ring exchange and super long duas which the PIC fooled everyone that it’s the end but then he continued for another 5 mins. Everyone “amin-ed” already 😅.

Wendy said that she didn’t know that they had to do the nikah at the office because she’s a muslim revert. So she said, “I woke up, got ready, got married, ate nasi kandar, go back and sleep” on that day. “So today, let me walk down the stairs alone and have my main character moment”. But her dress sort of got in the way, Kiki had to accompany her down.

This wedding was so much fun. I always have soft spot for backyard wedding with hanging lights, just being around family and closest friends, and having a ton of good times. Kudos to @munstara.event for preparing this whole event in less than a month!
