Nooreen & Kamil

Have you ever heard that our fate has been written for us long before we were born? It’s true and it’s surreal to think that Nooreen and Kamil were destined for each other even before their dads met their own wives.

I asked Nooreen, β€œhow did you meet Kamil?” and she told me with her teethy smiles β€œboth of our dads went to the same high school. And one raya, they came to visit us. I saw Kamil, Kamil saw me. A few weeks later, he came to Sungai Petani alone to meet me and my parents. The rest is history πŸ˜„.”

I love the quiet moment of Nooreen’s mum feeding his husband ice cream, in the midst of greeting guests. I love the hype girls; her bridesmaid, the look on their eyes, watching their best friend got married to the love of her life, her sisters.

I love the son capturing moments of his parents slow dancing, hands on the hips and all - it’s the most adorable thing I’ve seen in a while!

I love the can-do-it-all uncle in orange, who literally was the family photographer with dslr in his hand, the one reciting the entrance selawat, who can also sing!

I love seeing how shy Kamil was, having not prepared to have to dance, but did it anyway and how effortlessly Nooreen made it look.

I love the way the suede kebaya match with the songket and how the flower basket alleviate the whole look, making it traditional chic.

I love having traditional dance at weddings becausse I genuinely love malay traditional songs.

I love, love, genuinely.
